I had a little dabble in my friend Lena's basement last weekend, and this is the result. Lena set Jaine and me the task of using only black and white. So armed with only a few papers I had to raid Lena's extensive stash of stamps and found this little beauty. It seemed perfect for the quote I had in mind for the Quote and Lyric challenge at the Craft Barn, which this fortnight is Smile and/or Up.
I love this challenge - not only am I constantly on the lookout for quotes but I pride myself on a fairly good knowledge of song lyrics as well. My plan is to create a bunch of tags by the end of the year.
Fabulous tags, love the smile quote and wonderful stamped image.

Great quote, love your tag.
ReplyDeleteLove your Tag. Your Quote is brilliant...it's what I always say if someone asks me why I'm smiling!!! xx
ReplyDeleteA great tag - love the song lyrics that go so well with the image!
ReplyDeleteYou are off to an excellent start with these two tags, Kate! I love card and tag art in black and white like this and I like how your mind works with the quotes you picked, too! Enjoy!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThe quote on the front of your tag made me giggle - definitely one for my notebook. I also love the reverse of your tag, which has got both of the word prompts on it. Unsurprisingly, I also love the black & white theme of your tag :o)
ReplyDeleteAh I love the tag, both sides. You did a good job. I know you were well out of your comfort zone there too.
ReplyDeleteOoooh Kate, love the tags, you used a Stampotique stamp .... its fabulous.
ReplyDeleteGreat start using the two words. The first one definitely made me SMILE:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing with us at the Craft Barn.

Fabulous tag, I love the stamping and it works wonderfully with the black and white :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic stamps! The girl looks a little wicked doesn't she lol? I wonder what she's done. Hope your mojo comes back Kate...maybe it will reappear after you've had some sunshine Down Under. Hope you have a lovely time - it's been baking in Sydney and I was in Canberra a couple of weeks ago in 41C! Yuck!
