Bundles of Joy

A welcome card for a pair of twins.  The "Welcome" banner was stamped and embossed in silver  with the WMS Victorian Alphabet set and cut with the Spellbinders Nested Pennants.  The stork and bundles of joy are from the Little B Baby Elements set.  The rest is all computer generated, printed in a grey to match the silver as closely as possible.

I'm still reeling from the awful news this week of the pending closure of my favourite stamp company Waltzing Mouse Stamps.  I first discovered WMS almost 5 years ago, and I was completely in awe of the designs and quality of the the sets and have avidly collecting them ever since, as and when I could afford them.  Spellbinders have done alright out of me too, as a result of the beautiful stamp sets Claire Brennan has designed to complement their labels!!!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge still has their Anything Goes Challenge on, so I'll be entering over there.

Thanks for stopping by, especially if you take the time to leave some love,

Such a Deer !!!

I've had this crushed velvet card stock for quite a while and when someone asked if I'd make them a personalised card with a deer, I thought it was time to cut into it.  It has a lovely texture.

I've used this reindeer die for Christmas cards for several years now so using it for a birthday card, I had reservations, but then I had the idea to use some pretty DP to ground the image.  Also, I think I'm willing spring to come, as I'm heartily sick of the frosty mornings.   This morning I nearly had an accident because the roads in the school car park hadn't been salted.  Don't you hate that moment when you turn the steering wheel but you keep sliding forward.  The playground was like a skating rink too!

I've paired the TH! mini reindeer with some birch trees are from Impression Obsession, and grounded them with a Stitched Scallop border from Simon Says Stamp.  Having generated a personalised the sentiment using the computer, I cut it and mounted it with Stitched Rectangles from WMS.

My favourite kind of challenge - Anything Goes - is happening this week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, especially if you take the time to leave a comment,

Easel Down the Road

I do love this little car from WMS Half Pint Hero.  It's perfect for 18th birthday cards here as that's the age young people can apply for their licence.  This one is for a rugby fan.

I created the rugby ball in WORD.  I created two ovals one within the other.  The larger one I filled in with red and the inner one with white.  I then used Word Art to create the sentiment and centre it on the football.  After printing I used a Spellbinders Petite Oval to cut the shape.

The sliding channel was created using my Cameo but a craft knife would have sufficed.

The clouds are part of a new die set I recently bought from the Frantic Stamper called Village Sky, aren't they dinky.  There is also an aeroplane in the set which I forgot to add before I took the photo.

Here's the card folded flat for postage, with the car having driven on a bit further down the road.

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think,
Kate
