Hello Sailor

One last card for the weekend - ok technically it's Monday now, but anyhow here it is.  I used two new sets here WMS Hello Happy Thanks (ashamed to admit I bought this back in Oct 2014) and Verve Strong Anchor with matching die (I did break open the stamp set for my dad's tribute recently but not the matching die).

This is my 3rd and final entry for Darnell's NBUS Challenge #7.

I'm also entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme is

Anything Goes

I also found a lot of inspiration over at the Muse Challenge #181 with this lovely gem from Sarah Platt (Sazzle Dazzle Crafts).  I loved the layout though my attempt ended up going in a nautical direction.

Thanks for stopping by, especially if you take the time to leave some feedback,

You're My World

Couldn't let the weekend pass without another entry for Darnell's NBUS Challenge 7.  I ordered this Tim Holtz Globe die recently from Simon Says Stamp.

I mounted my world on a brad so that it spins freely.  I couldn't find a suitable sentiment stamp in my stash to accompany it, so I generated one using the computer and word processor.  I had a few ideas but I didn't want to go too corny so settled on this one.  I had an idea to mount it on a black background and have a big "You" on the front and "are Out of this World" on the inside.  Another idea was "My World Revolves Around You".  I would love it if you would let me know what you think.

I will also enter this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where the theme this week is

Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, especially if you take the time to leave some feedback,

Fall Blessings

This card is for my son who made it home safely from South America on Thursday, despite tropical storm Hermine.  He said he had never been so afraid on an aeroplane than during the takeoff from Miami.

I have so many stamps and dies that I just had to have at the time but have not yet seen the light of day. Thank heaven for Darnell and her wonderful NBUS challenges.  This one is heading over to NBUS Challenge #7.  The leaves are from a very old Spellbinder die (one of the first I bought) but haven't been used as far as I can remember.  The sentiment is from WMS Blessed By You, which is also NBUS.

It's also heading over to Timeout Challenge 65 where the inspiration this week is

“Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year.”

It's also heading over to Cardz4Guyz Challenge 135 where the inspiration this week is

Something Beginning with the letter 'F'

It's also heading over to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge which have my favourite type of challenge -  Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by,
