Place cards

A quick couple of photos of the 21 + place cards for my friend Maggie who will be celebrating her 21st +++ birthday in style next Friday evening.

The image was stamped and partially cut using the matching die, however I had real trouble stamping on this "hammered" card which I bought by the sheet and cut to size (it was the only card in the colour I wanted) and the embossing was disastrous.  So I ended up restamping this gal on some pearlescent card and overlaying it on the image, which kinda defeat the purpose of partially cutting her out so she'd pop up but anyway they're done now.

Alexandra Rocks

A friend of mine needs a Christening card for this weekend.  Alexandra is a long name but I managed to squeeze it in (twice).  These wood mounted alphabet blockstamps are from PSX and have been in my stash for ages.  They haven't had an outing for many years now - about time they saw some ink !!!

I stamped them on pearlescent pink card with versa mark and embossed them with WOW White Detail embossing powder.  I then used a 1" square punch to punch them out - easy peasy to align and much less effort than using spellbinders squares.

Seize the Stratocaster

An 18th birthday card for one of my son James' friends.  James wanted a musical theme as his friend plays the guitar.  He actually plays the bass guitar but this guitar from an Inkadinkadoo clear set is the only one I have.  The musical flourish (hope he doesn't notice it's upside down) and the sentiment are from the same set.  I've lost the packaging and I don't remember what the set is called.  The papers are from a Funky Vintage paper stack by Dovecraft.

Much needed inspiration came from Seize the Sketch #18

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments which are always appreciated.
