Engagement Wishes

One last card before I pack up for Australia.  Looking forward to some warm weather as today was particularly nasty, and to top it off I have come down with a cold.

My card was influenced by the Card Concept 3 to use Monochromatic Pink.  I've tried to recreate the effect of the different pink flowers and I loved the soft green in the background.  I think my card falls into the category of Clean and Layered - I've certainly used more "white" space than I usually do.

The layout was inspired by Vicki Dutcher who is this week's Muse.

Supplies
Inks : Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters Distress Inks
Others : Memory Box Tessatina Die, Spellbinders Circles, Free WMS Floral Sprig Cut Files, Cameo

Thanks for stopping by
Kate

  2. Great combination of these two challenges (a couple of my favourites!) Love the simple ring you've used as well as the Glasgow-school feel of those roses! Every time I see them, I think that I MUST order them and this time I may actually get over there and do it! Thanks for joining us at Muse and the Card Concept this week!

  3. Beautiful card, Kate. I love the ring that you have used to ground your flowers. You can definitely see the influence of the inspiration photo and the sketch, but you have changed it up enough and made it your own. Great work! Thanks so much for joining us at The Card Concept this week.

  4. So pretty and feminine Kate - love those sweet WMS blooms. In answer to your question - my nearest craft store is in Hornsby called Catchy Crafts...heaps of stuff but they don't sell W plus 9. I have a brother in law in SFO who is flying into Sydney tomorrow with a heap of new stuff for me. There is a good shop called Alice in Paperland in Rydalmere - fantastic for cardstock! Where are you going to be?
